Our return to Thorington Theatre

A perfect return to this beautiful outdoor theatre

Pop Chorus thoroughly enjoyed their return to Thorington outdoor theatre, near Southwold, on Friday 22nd May 2022.

The venue holds a poignant memory for our singers being one of the first places we were able to get back together in back in 2021.

We brought picnics and, this time, had the privilege of being entertained by Woodbridge-based singer-songwriter Peter Hepworth, who performed a lovely mix of covers and his own original material.

Pop Chorus then sang together for well over an hour, with Yula conducting from centre stage and the venue’s ampitheatre seating providing a natural acoustic for singers ‘in the round’.

As before, Thorington became more magical as dusk fell, and our fairy lights twinkled – we can’t wait to return!
